You smoking the Concert? How do you like it?

I had gone to a local Concert release event a while back, so last night's wasn't my first. I liked the one I had at that event, so I picked up a couple more. Not sure how often I'll purchase them going forward, as I'm not sure if there's anything in particular that's notable/remarkable enough to draw me back frequently, but I do like them and I'll probably have one occasionally. I like that it's in my preferred strength range - medium - and it is a well made cigar. It has a few things working against it, however: the first being that there are so many cigars out there that ARE notable/remarkable these days, and second is that it's competing against, for lack of better term, "the ghosts of CAO past." No matter what General does with the CAO brand going forward, they will always be judged against what CAO did while growing the brand. There was nothing wrong with OSA, and I'd say the Concert is even better, but the only way either of them would have a chance at replacing sticks like the Italia, Criollo, America, and La Traviata in my rotation is if General discontinued those "original" lines. Hopefully that doesn't happen and they just continue trying to make great new cigars. Just in case, I've stocked up on several of those "old" lines.

Sorry for rambling, but CAO was my favorite cigar brand for a long time, and even though it's nowhere close to the same company it used to be, it still holds a little place in my heart.

I got into smoking after they imploded. I know when Huber was there it was kick ass and I love seeing all the ratings the cigars got back in the day and still talk about, but the cigars are no where as good at all. Do you have any of the old CAO's which you could review vs. a new version? I think it would make an interesting article here. I know I would like to read it.
