No introduction today. Why don’t we dive right in?

Room 101 Serie HN

Vitola: 305

Size: 5 x 50

Wrapper: 98 Honduran Criollo

Binder: Brazilian Mata Fina

Filler: Dominican

Beverage: Sweet Tea

Cigars Smoked for this Review: Two

Smoking Time: 120 Minutes

Price Point: $6

Cigar Purchased: At Pipe World

Initial Thoughts: It is a must try for sure. The price point is solid for the experience that it delivers at six dollars. Really enjoyed the red on white Room 101 band and thought it popped against the oily, toothy Criollo wrapper. This is a medium body cigar, which normally isn’t in my wheelhouse, but I found myself digging the notes of grass, hay, spice, and a nice sweetness from the Mata Fina. In the press release for the Serie HN, they said the cigar has an “intense spice”, but I wouldn’t agree with that statement. The spice is nice and does build throughout the cigar, but isn’t intense at all. Otherwise, I didn’t have a complaint at all.

I feel maybe I should have let mine rest a little longer, I think at that price point I'll give the 213(corona?) a try and see if my mind can change.

Didn't you say the corona didn't burn right for you? Did you dry box it?
