This stick was given to me by LostAbbott a BOTL from my trip to Seattle back in November
I picked up coffee, cedar and a little bit of white pepper.
The first thing that caught my eye was the band. It's a bright blue with gold and an intricate inner pattern with a center image of a lady with 'La Aroma De Cuba' around it. The wrapper is a rich brown and is very smooth with no imperfections to the eye. The La Aroma de Cuba Mi Amor Magnifico measures 6x52 and is a toro vitola.
A nice bit of peppery spice in the first few puffs. The spice builds up as you proceed but it isn't overpowering. About halfway through the first third there's some earthy flavor. Already feeling the tobacco strength of this cigar.
The middle here is creamy and earthy to start. I'm still feeling the tobacco strength here, it has some real kick. There's not much more going on for flavors in the middle, my summary for the middle is that this is an extremely tasty cigar.
Earthy as the final third starts, but still similar to the previous third. Overall very enjoyable smoking experience.
A nice even burn here from start to finish. No issues with draw and total smoking time was approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes.
Singles of the Magnifico range from approximately $7 - $8 each, 5-packs around $33 and boxes of 25 from $142 - $170. Given the flavor here I think this represents pretty solid value.
The La Aroma de Cuba Mi Amor packs a bunch of flavor and full tobacco strength at a price that makes these affordable for almost all aficionados. If you enjoy full strength cigars then these should be on your wishlist for your next purchase.
