Review: Gawith, Hoggarth & Co. Kendal Kentucky

Full bodied and full strength, Kendal Kentucky is full strength and full bodied. Made from 100% African grown variations of Kentucky seed (Malawi, Uganda and Tanzania). Fire-curing of these tobaccos gives this tobacco very distinctive aroma and flavor.

Tin/Jar Note: Smokey, with a brown sugar and honey note.

Visual: Shag is a very fitting name of this cut. It creates a tangled lump of very thin strips of tobacco. All in various dark shades of brown.

Flavors: Very smokey with a toasty body and notes of brown sugar.

Smoking Experience: Very smooth, no gurgle, no bite and very few relights. With lots of smoke to boot.

Tobacco Strength: Full

Body: Full

Room Note: Tolerable

Comparable Tobacco: This is probably the strongest tobacco I have had yet. So, I don’t have anything to compare it to.

Conclusion: Although, this was a strong tobacco, it was still smooth and enjoyable. Not exactly something I would turn to very often, but I did like it.

Rating: 2 Stars AKA "Only when it is Free" - Would smoke a bowl if it was free and had nothing else
