Well, this is going to be my inaugural pipe tobacco review. Should be an interesting learning curve, but I am sure that in time I will get this smoothed out to a system. So, let's get to it.
Esoterica Tobacciana - And So To Bed has to be the most unique name for a tobacco I have seen thus far. Makes me think that maybe this is a tobacco, meant to be smoked as the last pipe of the day. Just before going to bed, but lets see shall we?
‘And so to bed’ by Esoterica Tonacciana is an English style blend, consisting of Latakia, Maryland, Oriental/Turkish and Virginia tobaccos.

Tin/Jar Note: There is a great smoky aroma, like a campfire, but not near as strong as a lot of others I have. There is also a sweet, tobacco aroma, that sometimes almost seems like a flavoring.
Visual: A mostly dark mix of stringy, shaggy tobaccos. There is also a large amount of light colored, Virginia tobaccos.
Flavors: Right off the bat, there is a strong flavor that I can only compare to a raw peanut paste. As if you ground up fresh, raw peanuts into a crude paste. It was actually quite tasty. This remained as the main flavor throughout each bowl. There were also side notes of sweetness and occasionally, just the slightest sour note.
Smoking Experience: Although I am still fairly new to pipes, I have gotten to where I can smoke through a whole bowl quite productively. This particular blend though, was tough to keep lit and there was little smoke, even though it seemed to be burning.
Tobacco Strength: Mild +
Body: Medium +
Room Note: Decent.
Comparable Tobacco: I don’t have anything that I would compare this to. It’s not an aromatic and it is milder and more laid back than most of the tobaccos I have been smoking.
Conclusion: And So To Bed wasn’t a bad tobacco. It was mild and fairly straight forward, but there were some enjoyable side notes to keep it, at least somewhat interesting. As the name implies, I would say that this is a good tobacco to wind down with in the evening. Mild-medium bodied, with a calm, easy-going flavor profile.
