Dunhill’s Royal Yacht is an established tobacco, with many loyal followers. A blend of Virginia’s, rich heavy & cool, there is plenty of Virginia sweetness in this blend. Added to that is a light/unique topping of plum.

Tin/Jar Note: Sweet Virginia tobaccos and lots of plumy/raisin notes.

Visual: Mostly milk chocolate colored tobacco ribbons, with some dark ribbons mixed in.

Flavors: Lots of mild Virgina notes, as expected. The plum topping is light and doesn’t interfere much. Just adds some deep fruit/plum notes, which are also quite muted.

Smoking Experience: Very good smoking tobacco. Stays lit very well and produces tons of smoke. Even though Virginia’s tend to burn hot, I never got any bitterness or gurgle.

Tobacco Strength: Medium+

Body: Medium+

Room Note: Tolerable

Comparable Tobacco: Any pure Virginia or lightly topped Virginia would be comparable.

Conclusion: Not my favorite, or an instant go to, but I definitely enjoyed it. There were no issues and the flavor profile was pleasant, if not a little mild.

Rating: 3 Stars AKA "When it is on Sale" – Wouldn't pay full retail but would purchase it on sale

Yea, I noticed that it had quite a following. I had no issue with it myself, there are just so many others that I enjoy more at the moment.
