Dunhill's Elizabethan Mixture has a long history. Originally produced by Murray & Sons but it went away for years, until it was brough tback by Scandinavian Tobacco Group in 2013. This is a Va/Per (Virginia/Perique) blend. And my tin just happens to be from November 2013. So, it is apparently one of the original releases from STG.

Tin/Jar Note: Molasses, grain and raisin/prune sweetness.
Visual: Lots of light and medium brown Virginias and a fairly light sprinkling of darker Periques.
Flavors: Mostly mellow, Virginia notes. Mildly sweet with the occasional Perique bite/spice.
Smoking Experience: This tobacco burns quite well. Stays lit easily, which is good since it can burn quite hot if smoked too fast.
Tobacco Strength: Medium
Room Note: Tolerable
Comparable Tobacco: I haven't smoked that many Va/Per's, but this is a mild one. Good for the beginner.
Conclusion: Nothing wrong with this tobacco. It was easy to smoke, burned great and gave me no issues. I think the only flaw I had, was that I don't think I am a huge Va/Per fan. If that is true, then this is a good Va/Per, because I would easily smoke this again, I just don't feel the need to grab up more at the moment.
Rating: 2.5 Stars AKA "When it is on Sale/When it is Free" – Wouldn't pay full retail but might buy it on sale and would definitely smoke it if it was lying around or given to me.
