Quick Note: For this review I used Cigar Federation's rating system

Prelight: The outside of this Maduro is dark and oily, with some tooth, and looks delicious. It is also a bit veiny, with plenty of bumps from the inside and a few imperfections in the rolling of the wrapper, but appears to have good construction. The smell from the wrapper is a rich mix of cedar, earth, and cocoa, with similar aroma from the foot. The draw is perfect with cedar and chocolate notes and no spice.

Beginning: The first thing to note, is that this cigar is a smoke machine! Clouds of white smoke from each puff and a constant stream pouring from the foot. Flavors are pleasant and easy going. It tastes like an earthy, chocolate fudge brownie, but without the sweetness. There is also a fair amount of wood notes, oak and cedar are two I can make out, and a lot of smokey flavors. I also start to get some interesting, flavor blasts that make my mouth water. The burn was dead on and this maduro was an easy-going medium in both body and strength throughout.

Middle: The smoke is still just pouring out in clouds, it’s a very fun cigar in that way. At this point, the flavor of dirt and earth take over the profile. But the little flavor blasts and brownie notes are somewhat present on the finish. The burn is still dead on, and the body and strength remain an easy medium.

End: The final third continues with the main notes from the second third, but there is the occasional hint of orange mixed in.

Final Thoughts: This is a solid cigar. Construction was excellent and the flavors, while nothing crazy, were very good and more than I expect from a “factory smoke”. These would be great to keep on hand for a go-to, cheap smoke. A smoke that does not act like a cheap smoke. The rating on this cigar is a little tough, because we are not talking about comparing it apples to apples with cigars five times it's cost. The price makes this a box buy, hands down, this is the best "seconds" cigar I have ever had. And it's about the cheapest one to boot!
