In January, Icarus Brewing Company in Lakewood, NJ collaborated with the winners of the Ocean & Monmouth County Homebrew Club Porter Competition, Dave & Pat, to debut King Arthur's Steed in draft at the brewery. According to a filing with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), that beer is now coming to cans.
According to Icarus, King Arthur's Steed is an Imperial Coconut Porter that they "decided to beef it up a little bit more this time with added Lactose". Originally the beer was listed at 6.5% ABV, but Icarus tells us that the canned version will come in at 7.2% ABV. King Arthur's Steed was finished on Fresh Toasted Coconut.
Icarus tells us that King Arthur's Steed will be releasing this week - they were actually transferring it to the bright as we spoke. Alongside King Arthur's Steed, Icarus will also be re-releasing Ella Ella, their first can offering.
