March 22, 2019--Cigar Dojo announces the addition of Rob Rasmussen to the writing and contribution team.
Starting today, Rob will begin contributing to Cigar Dojo's cigar reviews, with the future potential of expanding into the space of live content, news, and more.
Rasmussen entered into the cigar industry in 2009, launching the popular Robby Ras Reviews cigar review website, earning him his "Robby Ras" moniker. This was followed in 2010 with the co-founding of the
Cigar Chat podcast, later joining Cigar Federation in 2013. Rob began covering the annual IPCPR trade show as a media member shortly thereafter, and in 2014, co-founded the long-running Sharing Our Pairings podcast. In 2016, Rasmussen made his most significant transition since joining the industry, leaving the media space to join Granada-based manufacturer, Mombacho Cigars S.A. After working with Mombacho for over two years, he announced his departure from the company earlier this year.
"I’ve always held a lot of respect for the Dojo and have had the pleasure of getting to know Master Sensei over the years," noted Rasmussen. "While I’ve filled a few different roles in this industry, cigar media has always felt like home to me. I can’t wait to get started with the Dojo family and immerse myself in the their community."
Cigar Dojo is proud to add Rasmussen to the contribution team, believing the addition will strongly enhance and diversify our perspective on the cigar lifestyle we are all continuously discovering.
Eric "Master Sensei" Guttormson, owner of Cigar Dojo, added, "Sometimes you instantly know, when you meet someone, that you are going to get along with them. That's how it was when I met Rob. And fitting in the with the Dojo's cultivated style is equally important to the quality work that Rob is known for, which is why we are so
excited to have him join the Dojo contribution team!"
