Catfish's Top Five Habanos of the Year

I you had not heard, Seth, Surgeon, and myself are all getting together to discuss our top rated Habanos of the year this Saturday on What Embargo.  In doing so, we all made short lists to discuss live.  Here is a snippet of mine...

It is time for a Top Five Habanos Cigar of the Year list for Habanos Critic and What Embargo.  I wanted to keep the list short, as truly you could add any handmade Habanos to my list, as they all are made with superior tobacco.  So for this list, I included cigars that were reviewed on Habanos Critic, that I personally reviewed.  Granted, you could easily add a Behike to the list, but I wanted to keep this list somewhat realistic, keep to cigars I reviewed, and stay true to the information readily available on Habanoscritic.com.

Dear Catfish,

I agree with you on the customs but I would place my No. 1  ,the H.Upmann -Connoisseur A for It's

high tastes compared with the rest of the standard productions.

Amicalement,

Guy,

Great list. You got examples of two cigars that kinda rocked my world this year. The Epicure 2 and the RASCC. I have only had more recent production, 12' and 13' but they were very good and are my my box wish list.

Man, I guess I need to keep an eye out for some Prieto farm rolls! Your comment about enjoying cuban robusto size cigars more hit home for me. I was thinking the exact same thing about my tastes. I used to shy away from them but lately I've really been digging cigars like ERDM CS, RyJ Ex.4, Famosos, etc. and starting to wonder if they are going to supplant corona gorda for my number one vitola spot. Great top 5.

Yeah Greg, that vitola is a homerun these days. I cannot think of a bad one really.

It has surpassed CG in my humis. Haven't had a RYJ 4 yet, need to try that, the beli, and the cazadores.
