Cape May Brewing Company in Cape May, NJ has been steadily improving their IPA game in recent months, and it appears that two new Limited Release options could be on the way. On June 28, Cape May Brewing Company received approval from the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) for two new canned options: Double Dry Hopped White Caps and Tiny Drink Umbrella.
According to can art, Double Dry Hopped White Caps is a 7.5% ABV Unfiltered Double IPA. The profile on the can label details that DDH White Caps is "Double dry-hopped with Galaxy and Nelson Sauvin, DDH White Caps has intense aromas and hoppy bliss". Cape May initially released White Caps in April of 2016 featuring Mosaic and Citra hops. There is no Untappd listing for any variant or DDH version.
Perhaps more interesting is Tiny Drink Umbrella. Tiny Drink Umbrella is listed as a 6.0% ABV Unfiltered Smoothie Ale. The can label details: "We weren't sure we'd do this beer or not, but since you're holding it in your hand, it looks like we made it happen. This double berry ale brewed with raspberry and blueberry is best served with a tiny drink umbrella".
As noted, both options are listed as Limited Release. While we did not receive a response from Cape May Brewing Company when we reached out for additional details, typically Limited Releases are only available at the brewery.
