In May 2017, Twin Elephant Brewing Company in Chatham, NJ debuted a new 6.8% ABV American IPA, Here There Be Monsters. According to an approval from the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) on Tuesday, the brewery is planning to make this their next can release.
Upon debut of the beer on draft in the taproom, Twin Elephant released these details:
Ye’ intruders beware, we’re off the edges of the map. Here...there be monsters. So here’s to the Great Meadows lizard man, the Matawan man-eater, the Cape May sea serpent and the NJ devil.
This hoppy, swaggy, swill is made for yer’ grogs! IPA sowed full of flaked oats, blend of pale and pilsner oats, and a thunderous clap of Vic Secret, Rakau, and Wakatu hops. Notes of rich and sweet fragrant pineapple, grassy pine meadows, peaches & muskmelon.
When we reached out to Twin Elephant for additional details, Twin Elephant acknowledged the label, and told us that they're "gearing up" for it, but they could not confirm any additional details beyond indicating that they're hoping for a can release next month.
