On Thursday, two of southern NJ's premier breweries received approval from the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) for a can label for the recently released Banner Plane. Tuckahoe Brewing Company in Egg Harbor Township announced last Wednesday that they had collaborated with Clermont, NJ's Slack Tide Brewing Company, and the beer debuted on draft at Slack Tide on Wednesday and Tuckahoe on Thursday.
Listed as a 4.7% ABV Grisette on Untappd, can art depicts this as "A South Jersey Style Ale". Text on the can art details "This collaborative effort between Tuckahoe, Slack Tide, and Rabbit Hill Farms is an homage to one of South Jersey's most iconic images of summertime fun, the Banner Plane. Enjoy this South Jersey summer beer with those you love and experience hints of wheat, honeydew, and friendship. Cheers!"
When we reached out to Tuckahoe for comment, they informed us that Banner Plane would be released in cans in Tuckahoe's "tasting room only. The can Release is on Saturday August 4th. It is being canned on August 3rd."
Updated 8/1/18: Tuckahoe reached out to us to inform us that the can release is scheduled for Saturday with canning occurring on Friday.
