Booze News: Magnify Adding Another Variant to Short Stack Series

According to a filing with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureay (TTB), Fairfield, NJ's Magnify Brewing Company received approval on February 17th for a can label for Blueberry Short Stack. This will be the 8th beer in Magnify's Breakfast DIPA series.

According to label art, Blueberry Short Stack will be an 8% DIPA brewed with oats, lactose, maple syrup & blueberries.  While the brewery tends to keep release info close to the vest, the brewery did confirm that this is their "next breakfast DIPA".

Magnify's Breakfast DIPA series debuted in January 2017 when Most Important Meal was released. Most Important Meal was a 9% DIPA brewed with milk sugar, pastry flour, and locally sourced coffee, and hopped with Amarillo, Cascade and Citra. 

In November 2017, the brewery debuted Frosted Flakes, a 8% DIPA brewed with lots of oats, vanilla and lactose, and dry hopped with Citra, Mosaic and Amarillo.

Last February saw the release of Strawberry Short Stack - another 8% DIPA containing a hefty dose of oats, strawberry puree, maple syrup, and a touch of lactose, and dry hopped with Citra and Mosaic.

This past April, French Toast was released. French Toast was brewed with oats, maple syrup, lactose, and cinnamon, and dry hopped with Citra, Mosaic, and El Dorado.

The second variant of Short Stack - Peach Short Stack - made its debut in May 2018 shortly after we broke news of it here. Like its predecessor, it was an 8% DIPA with a hefty dose of oats, peach purée, maple syrup and a touch of lactose, and dry hopped with Citra and Mosaic.

Magnify released Crunch in July.  Crunch was an 8% ABV DIPA brewed with vanilla, cinnamon, oats, oat milk, a touch of raisins and a dash of lactose, and dry hopped with Citra and Mosaic.

Most recently, Magnify debuted Flannel Season - the 7th in the Breakfast DIPA Series - this past November.  Inspired by apple cider donuts, Flannel Season was brewed with 100 gallons of freshly pressed apple cider from Windy Brow Farms, lactose and a variety of Fall spices, including cinnamon. It was then dry hopped with Citra and Mosaic, and conditioned on vanilla.
