According to a filing with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) on Saturday, Lone Eagle Brewing in Flemington, NJ appears set to debut cans of Hunterdon Wet Hop Brown Ale.
Debuting on draft at the brewery in October 2016, Hunterdon Wet Hop is a 6.0% ABV Wet Hopped Brown Ale. Text on the can label details:
This brown ale is brewed with fresh wet hops from Sky High Hop Farm in Flemington, NJ. These hops are used within 24 hours of being picked. The beer is then dry hopped with local hops as well, resulting in a super aromatic brown ale with notes from floral and fresh citrus notes. To get the full experience of this beer please keep cold and drink as soon as possible.
When we reached out to Lone Eagle for additional details, they told us, "We have brewed this twice so far and it has been very well received. We brew it once a year when hops are ready for picking. Sky High Hop Farm, just 5 minutes up the road from our brewery pick the hops in the morning and we wet hop them in the brew that very same day. It supports local hop farms and the beer is absolutely delicious."
Additionally, Lone Eagle could not provide release date details telling us, "We have not brewed it yet and it is somewhat dependent on harvest."
