According to a filing with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) on Monday, it appears that Jughandle Brewing Co. in Tinton Falls, NJ is set to release their first non-IPA can. On December 3rd, Jughandle received TTB approval for a can label for Juggernaut Porter with Toasted Coconut and Vanilla.
Juggernaut, formerly known merely as Coconut Vanilla Porter, comes in at 8.1% ABV. The beer debuted on draft in the Jughandle taproom in late November 2017, and was awarded Best Porter at the 2018 Atlantic City Beer Fest.
Label art for Juggernaut reads, "Before it became an award-winning beer, Juggernaut had already won the hearts and taste buds of the craft beer lovers who frequent our taproom. Our version has a perfect balance of coconut toastiness and malty sweetness, rounded out with a luscious mouthfeel."
When we reached out for details from Jughandle, they praised Juggernaut as having "Irobust porter characteristics that are pleasantly balanced by the toasted coconut and fresh Madagascar vanilla beans."
