Icarus Brewing Company in Lakewood, NJ continues to be the buzz of the New Jersey craft beer scene, and this week should be no different. Icarus will be debuting their first ever Triple IPA in cans on Wednesday.
Touching The Sun is a 10.5% ABV Triple IPA with Lactose. When pressed for details on Touching The Sun, Jason Goldstein, Owner and Head Brewer at Icarus, told us it is "hopped at 7lbs per BBL with overwhelming amounts of Lupulin Citra, Motueka, Lupulin Mosaic, Lupulin Simcoe, Columbus, and Nelson Sauvin. [Touching The Sun] has an over the top dank, citrus, and wine must aroma and a rich and thick flavor of gooseberries and citrus."
In our discussions, Goldstein seemed extremely excited about Touching The Sun saying, "First time brewing a Triple IPA here and we decided to go all out." Touching The Sun will be available in the Icarus tasting room beginning Wednesday, and will be a single can release.
