This Saturday, September 22nd, at noon, Cypress Brewing Company in Edison, NJ will be releasing 4 different can offerings. The brewery had previously announced the debut release of See, What Had Happened Was... - an 8.5% ABV Imperial New England IPA brewed with Mosaic, then double dry hopped at over 5 pounds per barrel of Mosaic and Citra! Today, we received more insight into additional releases.
On Friday, Cypress received approval from the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) for a can label for Dirty Jersey Devil. Dirty Jersey Devil is a 5% ABV American Pale Ale brewed and dry hopped entirely with Amarillo. The label includes a photo of legendary NJ professional skateboard Freddy Gall who has been a friend of the brewery for years. According to the brewery, "in addition to promoting with him, he actually collaborated on the brew and brewed with us."
In addition to the two new beers, Cypress will be re-releasing Alva, their Imperial Porter and, for the first time, Cypress will be releasing a Vanilla variant of Alva. The brewery informed us the Alva with Vanilla can occurred because they "had it on tap last time and people liked it so we canned it this round."
