Booze News: Bradley Brew Project Planning From Making Dreams, Scaling Distribution

According to a filing with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) on March 1st, Bradley Brew Project received approval for a can label for From Making Dreams.  This marks the second planned can offering for the Bradley Beach, NJ brewery behind Unicorn Girls, their flagship IPA.

According to the label art, From Making Dreams is a 7.5% ABV New England Style IPA that will have numerous variants showcasing a specific hop blend.  Can art reads, "Hazy and juicy, our NEIPA is crafted using a soft water profile, specialized hopping methods, a plethora of malted and flaked oats and wheat. Citra, Simcoe, Mosaic and Columbus hops support a double dry hop that rotates making each batch truly unique. This batch showcases:".  In the approved label, "Azacca and El Dorado Hops" are listed, but this will change by batch.

When we reached out to Bradley Brew Project, they told us that From Making Dreams is "our rotating hop blend NEIPA. You’ll see a placeholder - currently Azacca and El Dorado - that will change with each batch."  To this point, the Azacca and El Dorado blend of From Making Dreams is the only variant the brewery has released.  From Making Dreams was one of the initial beers Bradley Brew Project debuted upon opening.

When we asked for details about when we could expect From Making Dreams, the brewery informed us that Unicorn Girls is still their priority. "We’re still actively working on releasing Unicorn Girls in cans first; however, we’ve been slammed in our tasting room and distro accounts (we’re now in over 15 places) over the past two months so we’ve had to push it out a bit." The brewery continued, "From Making Dreams will follow shortly after Unicorn Girls - likely in the summer."

Interestingly, Bradley Brew Project indicated they're evaluating all options to bring their beer to can. "We’re also considering small contract brew batches of these two beers so that we can release cans faster but that’s still an idea in the works - we want to make sure it makes sense for BBP and that we can bring the same level of quality to our customers."
