2016 NJ Cigar Festival Announced; Tickets Now On Sale

UNION, NJ - Today, David Mallow announced the 5th Annual NJ Cigar Festival scheduled for Sunday, June 26, 2016, from 5-10pm at The Metropolitan Society in Fairfield, NJ!

The event will feature a sit-down beefsteak dinner from The Brownstone, complemented by adult beverages, exclusive cigars, and one-of-a-kind raffle items. Tickets are now on sale and can only be purchased in person at Barrister Cigarsin Union, NJ. Ticket price is $150, and attendance is limited to 100 people.  If you purchase your ticket prior to April 15, you will receive 3 free raffle tickets!

To celebrate the 5th New Jersey Cigar Festival, we have put together five amazing Cigar All*Stars to join us: Willy Herrera, Juan Martinez, Nicholas Melillo, Steve Saka, and Phil Zanghi.

Willy Herrera, the Master Blender for Drew Estate, is responsible for the Norteno, Herrera Esteli and Undercrown Shade blends. At a prior NJ Cigar Festival, Willy blended a cigar just for the event. This cigar ultimately became the first Herrera Esteli Tienda Exclusiva.

Juan Martinez is the President of Joya de Nicaragua Cigars and the son of its owner, Dr. Alejandro Martinez Cuenca. Juan, a graduate of The London School of Economics, has now taken over the running of JdN from his father. He is responsible for the new Joya Red, reintroducing the company to the next generation of cigar smokers. He also oversees production on the Justice line for Barrister.

Nicholas Melillo was the EVP of International Operations for Drew Estate for many years before launching his own companies. Melillo International consults on tobacco purchasing for many tobacco companies around the world, and Foundation Cigar Company just launched its first line, El Gueguense {The Wise Man}, to great critical acclaim.

Steve Saka, As the former CEO of Drew Estate, Steve was responsible (together with Nicholas Melillo) for the creation of Liga Privada. After a brief hiatus, Steve returned to the cigar business with the creation of Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust, a family business that includes his wife and son. Their first release, Sobremesa, is one of the hottest cigars on the market today.

Phil Zanghi started out in the tobacco business as the Co-Founder of Indian Tabac (with Rocky Patel). After leaving there, he went into the machine-made cigar industry for many years. He has since made his triumphant return to the premium cigar industry with Debonaire Cigars, which produces the Debonaire, Indian Motorcycle, and Barrister's Verdict cigars. Phil recently signed an agreement to have his lines distributed in the U.S. by Drew Estate!

We look forward to seeing you in June!
