Press Release: XIKAR and RoMa Craft Tobac Announce License Agreement

June 9, 2017--XIKAR, Inc. and RoMa Craft Tobac are pleased to announce a long-term license agreement under which XIKAR will manufacture and market an exclusive assortment of cutters, lighters, travel cases, mobile ashtrays and other accessories bearing RoMa Craft brand logos and artwork.

The agreement between the two industry leading brands will add value to cigar retailers and provide RoMa Craft’s loyal consumer base an additional chance to connect with their unique products and brands. XIKAR’s team of dedicated sales personnel will apply their expertise to promote and merchandise these exclusive products in retail stores nationwide.

According to XIKAR President Kurt Van Keppel, the addition of RoMa Craft licensed products will bring new sales and excitement to the XIKAR brand. “We are very excited to continue and expand our association with RoMa Craft Executives Skip Martin and Mike Rosales, and their brands. They have brought exceptional products to the cigar market, and we are confident that these branded accessories will enhance their tenacious connection with consumers.” Skip Martin, founder of RoMa Craft added, “We have always been a consumer-oriented organization, which makes XIKAR an obvious selection as our go-to for lighters, cutters and accessories. Last year’s collaboration of the 5th Anniversary CroMagnon Monolith was extremely well received by the industry, selling out in only a few days. It is great to build on that success with the development of individual pieces that represent our core brands. XIKAR and RoMa Craft’s commitment to quality and exceptional customer experience makes this an all-around great fit for our teams and customers.”

Questions regarding this announcement can be directed to Kurt Van Keppel, CEO or David Frazier, VP of Sales at XIKAR.

Based in Kansas City, Missouri, XIKAR is the leading cigar accessory brand.  Creator of the revolutionary and iconic Xi1 cutter, XIKAR sells product in thousands of retail locations around the world.
In 1994, Kurt Van Keppel wanted to buy a good cigar cutter, but found that both the inexpensive and high-end models underperformed.  So, he set out with Scott Almsberger to match good design (ergonomics and function) with the best styling and materials.  The result was the Xi cutter, launched in 1996.  On October 21, 2014, the United States Patent and Trademark Office determined that XIKAR’s Xi Cutter had achieved iconic status, and awarded it with a trade dress Trademark #4,623,391.  The Xi cutter design is protected from duplication indefinitely.

Maybe they'll finally make a cutter to use on that damn Neanderthal. I almost bought that Monolith that came out last year but the $350 price tag was a bit high.
