REVIEW: Guayacan Maduro Toro

The cigar world is full of life, camaraderie, and compelling stories of risk and reward for those so compelled to jump into business of the leaf.  I had the pleasure of spending some time with Noel Rojas at IPCPR this year, and made a point to share his story through and interview Click Here. As a reviewer, hearing stories about a guy starting his company in his…

REVIEW: Leccia White Label 650 Toro

One of the more popular blenders making waves at IPCPR, seemed to be Sam Leccia next to Torano.  Did not get a chance to speak to him, or grab any samples, but my good buddy Mark at JMG Distribution happened to gift me a white label at my local shop.  It seems like his blends are gaining popularity in the social media and forum world, so I made it a point to let this one rest until I had a good chance to experience the…

REVIEW: Mini Cigars

I am a huge fan of mini cigars.  As a musician, I am always in and out of bars playing gigs, yet never have the time to sit down and enjoy a cigar when I am out and about.  Accordingly, I am always on the lookout for small cigars that last 15-30 minutes, and do not tar up. Logan took me to meet Eddie Ortega at IPCPR, and when we sat down, he made it a point to gift us some samples of his new mini line.  During our conversation, I mentioned how much I love minis, and that I would do a writeup…

REVIEW: Rebellious Cigars Southern Toro

During the IPCPR show, we got the chance to meet all sorts of newer brands trying to make a name for themselves in the industry.  For the most part, we stumbled upon booths while we were running around for interviews and meeting up with the folks we had plans to meet with.  However, when we had time, it was nice to sit at our booth and have conversation with folks as they passed by, while relaxing the feet an actually enjoying a cigar.  We had the pleasure of chatting with a Rebellious Cigar…
