The folks over at Quesada Cigars have done a great job of making their brand synonymous with this time of year. When I think about Oktoberfest I think of malty beers and Quesada cigars. Tatuaje owns Halloween and Quesada owns Oktoberfest.
2015 was the year that Quesada introduced two limited edition Nicaraguan versions of their Oktoberfest blend. The Das Brauhaus is one of those Nicaraguan blends and it was one of my favorites last year. This year's blend is said to be the same…Continue
The Warped Maestro del Tiempo debuted at IPCPR 2016 in Las Vegas. Kyle Gellis and the folks at Warped actually had a few different releases at this year's trade show. We sat down with Kyle on Day 4 to get some insight on the new blends. Jump to the 2:03 mark for info on the Maestro del Tiempo.
When I think Nick Melillo, I think Connecticut Broadleaf. So, naturally, I was rather pumped when I heard that Foundation Cigars was introducing the Broadleaf wrapped Tabernacle at IPCPR.
The Tabernacle hit stores in early August and is available in six sizes:
The wait for a Broadleaf release from Steve Saka is finally over! The new Mi Querida from Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust is the cigar we all expected Steve to blend last year.
We caught up with Steve at the recent IPCPR trade show in Las Vegas and he was in a great mood!…
We've been talking about the Protocol Lancero from Cubariqueño Cigars a lot lately. The Lancero had a soft release earlier this year and is currently available in a few places. I believe the CigFed store has a few bundles left.
The Protocol Lancero is set for nationwide release next week at the 2016 IPCPR trade show in Las Vegas. Cubariqueño Cigars is also set to release the…Continue
Cubariqueño Cigar Company burst on to the cigar scene in 2015 with their freshman release called Protocol. It was met with rave reviews (including that of our own Cigar Surgeon). On the heels of that success, Juan and Bill are set to release the Protocol Probable Cause in July at this year's IPCPR trade show in Las Vegas.
Las Vegas, NV... Where the…Continue

Have you heard of the Tatuaje Monsters?
The Skinny Monsters are the latest iteration of the blends have become so popular with cigar smokers. They are currently available in a 10-count sampler that includes one version of each Monster release. Over the next few months I'll post up reviews of each blend. I decided to go in order of original release so The Frank came first.
Tatuaje Skinny Monsters sampler includes each of the following in a petite lancero:

The EP Carrillo Short Run 2016 is a departure from the norm for the folks at EPC. The Short Run is not a new concept, but the 2016 edition has a few new facets to it. First off it is available in one vitola. The 2016 Short Run will be available only in a 6 x 52 toro while previous iterations were available in three different sizes. It also has a new band. The 2016 band is predominantly gold with red, black and white accents.

The new Hoyo de Monterrey from General Cigar is a brick and mortar exclusive. The Hoyo began shipping to retailers late last week (April 1st) and should be on the shelves at your local B&M soon. It is available in four sizes.
The Alec Bradley Post Embargo was unveiled last summer at IPCPR 2015, but didn't hit the market until the middle of November. There was a bit of a delay because the line took on a new look. With the…Continue
The Pickle Juice from MoyaRuiz Cigars is an interesting cigar in a few different ways. First off, it is the latest addition to the "holiday release" cigar list. Secondly, it is the first Candela wrapped cigar to come out of the La Zona factory. There may be a small release that I don't know about, but as far as I can tell the Pickle Juice is the first.
What is a "holiday release" cigar. Good question. Pete Johnson and Tatuaje…Continue
The Quesada Keg returned in 2016 with larger production and a ramped up look. The blend is the same as the 2015 version, but features a different tobacco vintage.

The Alec Bradley Tempus Nicaragua is the latest addition to the Tempus line. It joins the re-blended Tampus Natural and the Tempus Maduro.
The Tempus line has been around for awhile. In fact, the Tempus Maduro was one of the first cigars I purchased on a regular basis when I first started smoking cigars. With that being said, the Tempus line holds a special place in my heart. So when we had Casey Aldulaimi on CigarChat last week I promised that the Tempus Nicaragua would be the…Continue
Fable Cigars is a brand new cigar company. And when I say "brand new" I mean it. Their first release is called Fourth Prime and it fully will hit the market in April, 2016. The folks at Fable Cigars currently offer a 4-stick vitola sampler on their website for $45.
The name Fourth Prime is in reference to the number 7 which happens to be the fourth prime number. On their website the Fable folks say, "Our first…Continue
