Breaking News: Drew Estate & Caldwell Cigar Co. Collaboration

During the Cigar Federation Cigar Safari with Drew Estate, Jonathan Drew announced a new cigar project All Out Kings. Blending will be done collaboratively by Willy Herrera, Master Blender for Drew Estate, and Robert Caldwell of Caldwell Cigar Company. The cigars for All Out Kings will be rolled at Joya de Nicaragua, and distributed by Caldwell Cigar Company.

Review: Klin Tobacco Caleanoch 25

One of the releases I was ecstatic for at the IPCPR 2015 in New Orleans was the Caleanoch. The cigar uses an evolution of fire curing by incorporating a percentage of peat fire cured tobacco in the filler. The number represents the percentage of peat cured filler tobacco in the cigar. The initial release is the Caleanoch 25, with the 50 and 75 to follow in the Spring of 2016.

Review: Ramon Allones Club Allones EL 2015

In November 2015 I had the opportunity to visit Cuba again for the Partagas festival. Cuba is always a great trip and a chance to try new cigars and catch up with good friends from Eastern Canada.

Group Review: Macanudo Estate Reserve 2015 No. 9

The Macanudo Estate Reserve 2015 No. 9 is the follow up to the to the 2014 Estate Reserve which commemorated Macanudo’s 45th anniversary. The 2015 release is a re-blend with a more modern packaging design incorporating Jamaican flag colors.
