I purchased the Tatuaje Wolfie as a part of the 2012 Little Monsters ‘Orange box’ release. I hadn’t actually smoked any of them until October of 2013.
I picked up tons of pepper, wet cedar and earth. There is a lot going on for the nose here.
The Tatuaje Wolfie comes in a torpedo measuring 5 1/2” by 48 ring gauge. The cigar is box pressed with a shaggy foot, which is an obvious nod to the character…

I have had the pleasure of reviewing Villiger cigars twice now, so I was excited to get my hands on a few samples from the company at IPCPR, including the Colorado. Being a fan of smaller cigars, the gentleman who handed me the Colorado nailed it when he gave me a corona vitola at 5.5x44. I was a fan of the profile of the Talanga, which you can read here, so I was rather interested to see if the darker wrapper would appeal to my palate. Given I normally stay away from…

As 2013 comes to a close everyone is posting the top cigars for the year. I didn’t review enough exclusively released cigars for the year to create such a list, so instead I will rank the best cigars I have reviewed. There are a significant number of cigars that appear on other lists that don't appear on mine, simply because of the difficult of obtaining them in time to make this list. No doubt they will make it for 2014.
One of the cigars that made this list, and you’ll know it…

When I created the Cigar Federation Consolidated List of Top Cigars of 2013, I didn't include my own list. First, I wanted to have no bias whatsoever in the creation of the list. More importantly, I don't consider myself a reviewer so why should anyone care about my favorite cigars of the year?! Well, apparently some of you do because I got a few requests for my list and since it varies greatly from the…

At last, that time of year where we all make our subjective lists that piss everyone off because their favorite smoke was not in the top three. Some of you will not find your favorite smokes or brands, and wonder what was he thinking?!?! How is (insert LE boutique release here) not on his list?!?!? But we are all different, and I love me some mild-medium bodied cigars my friends, so take this list as a recommendation of mild-medium cigars. That’s what is beautiful about this…

As we near the end of 2013, you will begin to see many "Top" lists throughout the cigar community. The Cigar Federation team decided to attempt to do something a bit different. Each of the main reviewers on the site - Logan, Rob, Dustin, Jerad and John - has their own list, but we also wanted to see what a Cigar Federation Consolidated list would look like.

The Ezra Zion Tantrum box pressed Prensado Pequeño came to me by way of a care package that Kyle and Chris from Ezra Zion had sent to me when I was travelling to the US for the 2013 Chicago Tweetup. I also had the fortune of smoking it during the Cigar Federation virtual herf on October 28th…

Earlier this year, Logan & I attended the CATS Festival in San Antonio, TX. At one of the many booths set up there, I was given a few cigars from Outlaw Cigar Co. Including a couple Black Powders and this WTF. So, this particular cigar has been resting for 207 days. ;)

The WTF has a very nice appearance. Smooth dark…

What’s not to like about fire, cigars, and chicks man… That is what caught my attention of the Total Flame booth at IPCPR this year. Truthfully, Jared and I were walking by the Total Flame booth and a charming young lady with a wonderful southern accent called us over. Now I am a sucker for a southern accent, so we stopped by and talked to the gal for a bit and she gave us some samples. I do not know much about the company, but it seems the branding is directed at the biker…

I purchased the Tatuaje Baby Face as a part of the 2012 Little Monsters ‘Orange box’ release. I hadn’t actually smoked any of them until October of 2013.
I was able to detect sweet hay, barnyard and some lingering spices on a deep inhale.
The Tatuaje Baby Face comes in a petit robusto measuring 4 3/8” by 50 ring gauge. The foot is a loose / unfinished foot with a ‘band’ that is made up of an uneven…
