This La Aurora Barrel Aged Robusto has been sitting in my humidor since November of 2012. Sadly this is another stick that I failed to track the originating source of.
The nose on this smells of rich fermented tobacco with a hint of Spanish cedar. I ended up spending several minutes taking in the aromas here before I finally toasted and lit up.
I reviewed the La Aurora Barrel Aged in a…Continue

I received this Alec Bradley Connecticut Robusto in the Alec Bradley, Willy Wonka styled 3-cigar box, at the AB Party in Las Vegas this year. I thought it was a genius little bit of marketing, and since it was a handout at a cigar event, and not a retail item, I saw no issues with it. I was able to get a second box that I have kept intact.

Back again for another installation of mini cigar reviews. This time around, I really had some gems that stood out to me. Two of these will be in my rotation for quite some time now.
Drew Estates Papas Fritas 4.5X44: I must admit, I shied from ever trying this cigar due to the short filler versus price. That was a huge…Continue
I picked up the Brick House Mighty Mighty Maduro Gordo from Atlantic Cigar along with some other singles I had been meaning to review. This had been resting in my humidor since August of 2013.
The nose on this Brick House is really engaging. Barnyard, cedar, coffee and vanilla combine to leave you eager to light up.
This Brick House Mighty…Continue

Another week, another installment of My Week in Review. The weather is getting a bit cooler here in NJ, and with the holidays approaching, it seems like my schedule is a bit crowded as well so I only got to experience 4 cigars this week - Psyko Seven from Ventura, Nat Sherman 1930, Nomad Esteli Lot 1386 and a Cuban San Cristobal de La Habana. I was really trying to knock off some cigars that have been on my "To Smoke" list this week, and I'm glad I did.…Continue

12/17: Cigars 5 through 2
12/18: Cigar of the Year
This Drew Estate My Uzi Weighs a Ton (MUWAT) Kentucky Fire Cured "Just A Friend" Toro came to me by way of a bomb from a good friend ‘Evil Derek’ who I met on the Cigar Safari in April of 2013. He was kind enough to send out some of these for review.
I remember smelling the Kentucky Fire Cured tobacco leaves when I was on the Cigar Safari in April 2013. Unfortunately I didn’t have the opportunity to smoke it, until now.

I've been hearing about the La Palina line of cigars for a long time and I was very excited to see the Kill Bill line show up in my local B&M a week ago. So, of course I picked up a Kill Bill and a Kill Bill II. I decided not to wait any longer to give one of these a try, and lit up the Kill Bill II a couple nights ago.

Welcome to another installment of "My Week in Review". All five cigars that I will discuss this week - Debonaire, BOTL 2013 Corona, Nica Rustica and the Tristans were brand new to me so it was an interesting week. To be fair, I had smoked a Nica Rustica sample from IPCPR, but I found this to be a bit different. Let's get into why...…Continue
