What's your function: Consumption or Culture?

I’ve always been fascinated with leatherface, teeth grit old guys who use tobacco: whether it be smokeless, pipes, or cigars. There is just something awesome, mysterious, and real about them. They still dress in the same wear as they did at the age of 30, so when in a group they appear to be dressed in an at least cohesive style..I don’t know what it is: the way they chew on…

To leave the Cellophane on or Take it off

I borrowed this from my blog as it seems to still be one of the most discussed topics.

It’s the age old question, and certainly the one single question I hear the most.  When you get your cigars, is it best to store them in the humidor with the cellophane on or off?

The purist in me leads me to want to store my cigars “naked”.  Nothing looks better than opening the lid of your humidor and seeing your prized sticks neatly stacked with their bare…

The Top 6 Mistakes Cigar Smokers Make

1.  Smoking Too Damn Fast!

Where's the fire pal? Well it's frickin' raging at the tip of your cigar when you smoke it too fast. Ya, I know it tastes good, but you're gonna ruin that goodness by giving it the Lewinsky treatment.

Really hot fire will cause the tobacco to put out nasty flavors which, unless you're smoking a Swisher…

Tobacco Plant Nutrition…Growing a Bitchin Crop - Parta Cenco !

Beyond nutritional needs, tobacco is sensitive to acidity, expressed as "pH," an indication of the percentage of hydrogen detected.

High Acid soils damage the tobacco's roots, causing root rot and black root rot. That’s real bad Root Rot ! The common remedy for acidic soils is the application of lime (calcium carbonate). Rainy climates tend to be acidic, because the water washes away the calcium-bearing carbonate.…
