Review: Camacho Powerband

With the passing of Buddy Ryan two days ago, I started thinking of the greatest team ever- the '85 Bears. This of course got me wanting to watch 30 for 30: The '85 Bears and at the end documentary with Ditka light up, I needed to get myself a Camacho. I didn't have one of his "Ditka cigars," but I had been smoking some of the new Powerbands by Camacho so I grabbed one of those. The cigar is labeled as a "power and muscle cigar," something that goes hand in hand with the '85 Bears, so I was…

Press Release: Warped Sky Flower Corona Cigar Co Exclusive

Warped is excited to announce the release of an exclusive vitola of Flor del Valle Sky Flower for Corona Cigar Co located in Orlando, FL. This project has been in the works for some time largely in part due to the sourcing of the medio tiempo from AGANOSA that makes Flor del Valle Sky Flower so unique. On Warped’s last trip to review and source the medio tiempo crop for Sky Flower, it was only then that enough material was available to allow this long awaited project between Kyle Gellis of…

Cigar Review: Crux Limitada PB5

At last year's trade show, Crux Cigars announced that they would be releasing their first limitada. I typically don't get excited over limitadas anymore, whether they be limitadas from Cuba or to the United States, but I was interested in seeing Crux's offering. Being that Jeff and Joel "are" retailers, I think they have an appreciation for what a limitada should be. (Ten count box that is numbered and not a small vitola offering.) What makes this limitada special and true to what I believe…

Review: Protocol Probable Cause

Cubariqueño Cigar Company burst on to the cigar scene in 2015 with their freshman release called Protocol.  It was met with rave reviews (including that of our own Cigar Surgeon).  On the heels of that success, Juan and Bill are set to release the Protocol Probable Cause in July at this year's IPCPR trade show in Las Vegas.

Las Vegas, NV... Where the…

Review: Gurkha Assassin XO Gordo

Not too long ago I was gifted some cigars from the Gurkha Godzilla Pack. I’ve mentioned many times in the past that I’m a big fan of manufacturer’s making samplers so that a consumer can try a variety of their offerings.

The Gurkha Assassin is blended to be a full…

Review: Serino Royale Connecticut

Serino Cigar Co. is a small batch producer, putting quality over quantity. Now, I feel little funny saying that, since it seems to a bit cliche, but it is a noble quality to aspire to and I'll let the cigar speak for that. They are blended by Omar Gonzalez Aleman, who has blended at some very well known factories in his career and now owns his own factory, La Corona Cigar S.A.

Serino Royale Connecticut by…

Review: Cornelius & Anthony Daddy Mac

Cornelius & Anthony is one of those up-and-coming companies for the cigar industry right now and they are a company has two exciting offerings that have recently been released. While the company's original plans from 2015 are no longer in existence and completely scrapped, it was a little worrisome there for a while, the company is now in full stride and have released two cigars titled Cornelius and Daddy Mac. Cornelius is made in Miami at El Titan de Bronze, a traditional and old school…

Review: Southern Draw QuickDraw Connecticut

Southern Draw Cigars is based on the vision of the traditional “Southern” Gentlemen. A brand founded by U.S. Veterans, they already have 3 lines on the market with the Kudzu, Firethorn, and QuickDraw in a Habano or Pennsylvania Broadleaf wrapper. The QuickDraw Connecticut extends the QuickDraw line, available as the Petit Corona (4-1/2x44) or a Short Panatela (5-1/2x40).

What I appreciate on their…

Review: Crux Guild

In August of last year, 007MI6 reviewed the Crux Guild immediately following the trade show. He has positive things to say about the release and noted the cigar for its strength. I was interested in trying the release after it was showcased, I have been a fan of Crux Cigars since the beginning, but it was not till recently that I had the opportunity to actually smoke the cigar. The cigar is just now being released as well, so I thought it would be a good opportunity to…
