Review: La Aurora Cien Anos Pairing

This fantastic cigar came into my humidor by way of the Smoking Greek’s ‘13 for 2013’ Contest. I had completely forgotten about it until my appearance, along with Rob, on Dave Burck’s show The Cigar Jukebox (our episode will be airing in the next few weeks). If it wasn’t for my obsessive use of the Cigar Geeks…

Review: Garo Maduro Especial

As with the Garo Adamas last week, this Maduro Especial has nice, clean construction. The length of the cigar has smooth, even rolling and the seams are near invisible. The prelight aroma of this Maduro Especial has lots of smokey, beef jerky notes and a smoked wood odor. The cold draw, while a quite tight, gives off a decent deep, dark natural tobacco note with a good amount of spicy tingle.…

Review: H&H Fusilier's Ration

Blended by Russ Ouellette, Fusilier's Ration bears a great similarity to the classic Bengal Slices, by design. Using dark latakia tobacco with oriental, Virginia and a touch of black cavendish, this was a very unique blend to me. Of course, the old fashioned top dressing, added for a light scent may have something to do with it.…

Review: Esoterica Tobacciana And So To Bed

Well, this is going to be my inaugural pipe tobacco review. Should be an interesting learning curve, but I am sure that in time I will get this smoothed out to a system. So, let's get to it.

Esoterica Tobacciana - And So To Bed has to be the most unique name for a tobacco I have seen thus far. Makes me think that maybe this is a tobacco, meant to be smoked as the last pipe of the day. Just before going to bed, but lets see shall we?…
