Small Announcement and Review: Cuba Aliados Cabinet Selection Toro (6 x 52)

Well it is my joy to announce that I will be doing weekly reviews for Cigar Federation as I transition into a trial moderator position.  However, Logan is really putting the heat on me to see what I can produce over the next few months, so I need a little help.  I need you all to let Logan know how awesome and cool I am.  You might be saying, “But Tyler, lying is bad”.  But I don’t care, I say do it anyway!

A Relajado, a CAO Flathead, and a Byron Cigar

Thursday I revisited the Relajado Robusto, which is a house brand from Best Cigar Prices. The cigar is made by General cigar, the trademark rounded head gives that away.  Despite the band being pretty cheesy, and looking like a cheap bundle cigar instead of a reasonably priced boxed cigar, this was pretty darned nice. It reminded me a little of the …

Review: Tatuaje The Mummy

First third: I'm getting a lot of sweet leather and nice smooth black pepper. A tiny hint of cherry compliments the sweetness of the Macallan very well . A really good pairing so far . More to come later!

Halfway point starts out by ramping up the pepper, and even adding in some cayenne pepper into the mix. That cherry is gone…

The cigar community, whether it be globally, nationally, or locally, is commonly referred to as a "brotherhood," and the popular acronym "B.O.T.L." stands for "Brothers Of The Leaf." Even at my local B&M (Brick & Mortar) cigar shop the members frequently address each other as “brother.” So when I heard that there was a cigar line called Fratello, which means “brother”…

Curivari Cigars

Curivari is a great line of 10 blends. Their web site does not have an address, phone number or email address. You cannot get in touch with them.

I have reviewed them all between Feb.6-Mar. 6 of this year.

This is a cigar I'd like to see CF carry. It is that good.

Review: The Cigar Clip

I don't review too many cigar related products, but time has been very limited for me the last three weeks, and cigars have been VERY limited. So, I decided to review this neat little product that I weaseled off another weasel. Thanks Logan! lol There are a lot of reviews out there and information already written up on this product, so I won't bore everyone. Or, at least, I'll try not to. ;)…

An Undercrown, A Six-Zero, a Nomad and a San Lotano Cigar

At some point last week, probably Friday, I grabbed an Undercrown Gordito from the Drew Estate Humidor and took it out for a walk. I enjoy the undercrown line, especially the Corona Viva, but there are some sizes I like better than others. This 6” x 60 turns out to be one of my favorites oddly enough (not including the Viva, which is a slightly different blend). Of…

Pre-Release Review: Crowned Heads Las Calaveras 2014

Crowned Heads made some waves recently with the announcement of their newest project, Las Calaveras. When Jon Huber, co-owner of Crowned Heads, was recently on CigarChat, he mentioned this project, but didn’t go into much detail. Well, the cat is now out of the bag, and here is the shake down. You can read all about the project on the Crowned Head’s website, but here is…
