Smoking one of CigFed resident Michael P. Stewart's Nicaraguan home-rolled cigars this morning. I have to say I am more than impressed with it. It's built well, is burning well, and pleasantly flavored. It's much better than I would have expected from someone doing their own blending and rolling at home. Good job, man!

Thanks for posting this, Kip! I'm still working on the blends of the fire-cured tobacco. Granted, they are very young (just 3 days since being rolled), but I'm getting very little of that bacon-ham smoke flavor that I smell very strongly on the leaf. Sam Leccia had mentioned that he only used a little bit. I'm getting a sweetish flavor, especially on the retrohale, but not what I was expecting or hoping for. I'm trying a different, milder blend of other fillers now. Or maybe I just need to use a higher percentage of the fire-cured. We shall see!
