Recently a buddy and I smoke a Bloodline OPA paired with Canadian Rye Whiskey.  The Bloodlines company motto is "Impossibly Smooth" and they are based out of Fresno, CA.They use a soft crush process which makes the cigars smooth.   I have no idea what that means.

The OPA is a smooth and floral smoke.  They smelled like flowers before we lit them up.  The smoke was not something I would choose again as it was simply not in my flavor profile.  The rye whiskey carried the cigar and the company was good.

Diageo CEO Ivan Menezes, along with other executive directors including his predecessor Paul Walsh and CFO Deirdre Mahlan, took home less than 10% of their possible bonuses for the 2014 fiscal year following the company’s mediocre performance, according to the Scotsman.

The picture was more positive in North America which continued to perform well with growth driven largely by sales of Scotch, American whiskey and tequila, however performance in vodka was said to be “weak” with Smirnoff losing volume share in an “increasingly price competitive market”.

Nice weekend pairing, Knob Creek Small Batch 120, Celebrator Doppelbock and rounding out the trio, Aging Room Quattro F55. The Celebrator smooths out the 120 proof spice while the Aging Room cigar pulled out the sweetness from the bourbon.
