I am going on a Trip to Germany next month! The main purpose of the trip is to attend the wedding of a friend who lives there now, but I am going to be there for two weeks.

I’ll mainly be staying with a friend in Luneburg, but I will also be spending some time in Hamburg and Berlin. I have access to car so getting around will not be a problem.

My friend is German and knows the areas well, but told me to let him know if I want to do anything specific. I will definitely be hitting up the Casa Del Habanos in Hamburg, but don’t have too many ideas of specific things I want to do.

If anyone has been to any of these areas I’d appreciate some recommendations.

OH SNAP! The best shop imho in all of Germany(and one of the best in all of Europe) is the Hamburg LCDH! They have a grip of killer/hard to find/vintage Cubans...I have bought from them many of times....I got connected with them on a trip a while back, you have to visit that shop...it wouldn't even matter if you looked for another they are the best! Have fun!

That's great to know the Hamburg LCDH is so well regarded. I also just found out that it's within walking distance of the hotel I'm staying at so I'll be sure to take advantage. I will start putting together a list of stuff to look for :)

Yea, they have lots of Vintage smokes you have to check out...if I had to go to one place in all of Germany the Hamburg LCDH is the best...you have to let me know when you go!

I am flying out of Portland on October 7th

Very nice...if you go to the Hamburg LCDH pick up some aged stuff ;-)

Here is what I ended up picking up:

Romey y Julieta Petit Churchills from 2012

Partagas Serie D #5 from 2008

Bilivar Belicosos Finos from 2008

Montecristo Edmundos from 2010

Cohiba Club cigars just for s**** and giggles

Partagas Serie D #4 from 2008

While they did have a ton of limitadas and regional editions available my budget was limited and they had a great selection of regular production aged stock. I felt like the price of these was a much better deal because the regional and limitada stuff was very expensive, but fun to look at.

I wanted to take more pictures inside the humidor but felt awkward doing it with the woman following me around the entire time. It’s a really nice set-up but I kinda wish they would allow you to just poke around more on your own.

Tasty collection. When I was in the DR, I grabbed some Cohiba Minis myself :)Love those RyJs.

Very nice...glad you got some stuff with a bit of age...they have a great selection of vintage/aged smokes and other hard to find Habanos, those No.5's are great with a bit of age.
