Hey guys.....sorry I am late with this......really surprised I didn't see someone take the reigns and throw me out....glad ya didn't though.

Ok, this month, lets take a look at and smoke some BLTC. I really like this brand....I know they are hit & miss with folks, but so were the curivari's last month, and it seems like after people gave them another chance they dug em.

So if you have one of these, please light that sucker up, come back here and tell us what you thought. Please don't be hesitant if you're new, or never reviewed a cigar. At least post a picture, what vitola, and if you thought it was good or not. If you don't have it, ask around to see if someone wants to do a trade, check with your B&M or your favorite online retailers CIGARFED anyone? If ya got em' SMOKE EM and tell us about it.

I really, really like BLTC!!  What a great choice!

"An unforgettable full bodied smoke with complex layers of cedar, coffee, and chocolate.  The rich, earth, cocoa finish lingers on the palate." - BLTC website

The fact that BLTC cigars were this month's SOTM slipped my mind while I was smoking this, but I make a habit of taking brief notes on each cigar type the first time.  My notes on this cigar were simply "cocoa, not very sweet, powerful".

I paired this with an unicorn brew, Oskar Blues Death By Coconut Porter, and I feel that it worked well.  There were a lot of common flavors between the two.  The coconut either added sweetness that was lacking in the cigar, or it covered up any sweetness present.  The nicotine hit me hard even after a meal and I had to slow down a bit to stay ahead of it.

Construction was fine and I enjoyed the box pressed Robusto format better than the only other BLTC I have smoked, the Deliverance Nocturne in Snub Nose.  I would definitely smoke this one again.

Thanks for sharing Jeff. Sounds like it treated you well. I haven't had that Oskar Blues yet, but I have liked just about everything I have had of theirs.

BLTC to me are pretty strong smokes.....I don't think they have made a mild one yet....not complaining, and I could be wrong, but all the ones I have had have been in the medium to full dept.

Tiger Kitty Soft Paws (dumb ass name btw) is a connie.

Yeah, the Deliverance Nocturne had some strength and I anticipate the Lawless to be a heavy hitter.  I'll try to find a heavy meal to pave the way for a Lawless interview before the month is up.

BLK WKS work?

We need a ruling by the judge. :-)

Hope so.  I think that's the only ones I have left lol

Found my stash of Morphines from 2014.

Dug one out, and smoke it while watching CC with Glynn on it....very informative.....highly recommended viewing if you haven't checked it out yet.

Anyway, not much of a review, but I sipped it slowly and let the flavors wash over me both on my palate & person. I got lots of nutmeg, chocolate, peanuts, and of course spice. The retro had almost a diesel fuel aroma....strange, but not bad.
