Stefan and I met up at Tuttle's here in G.R. for about 4hours. We exchanged a couple of smokes and spent the time discussing cigars and a number of other subjects. Here is what Stefan dropped on me today: Caldwell Eastern Standard and Roma Aquitane (if I remember correctly)

The other photo is the BG Meyer Slacker that Mark at Tuttle's was so kind to pass along. I smoked one this morning. It is a wonderfully constructed cigar with some pretty smooth transitions for a small Connecticut wrapper cigar. The green/vegetal/grass transition in the second third was surprising. The cigar finished sweet with some floral/citrus notes on top of a light spice.

The Eastern Standard is a killer smoke, for sure the best cigar that Caldwell has ever produced. He has just come out with a new Lancero (Silk Road) of the blend that I just grabbed. I am sure you will like this cigar, I smoked the Roma CroMag last night and it was alright smoke (good for the price).

Yup, Doc, that is a RoMa Craft Aquitaine mode 5. Enjoy, my friend. I will post the pics of the other stuff you gave me sometime tomorrow.
